How We Work
-
We accept referrals for clients during ongoing litigation and following settlement.
For an initial availability enquiry, please provide:
Client’s approximate age and location/postcode area
Diagnosis/injury and brief overview of their needs
Type of physiotherapy input required
Any specific therapist requirements or preferences
Please do not send client-identifiable or sensitive information at this stage. We will first confirm whether we have a suitably experienced physiotherapist available.
Once availability is confirmed:
We will recommend a therapist whose experience and approach best match the client’s needs.
We will provide the therapist’s CV and a clear quotation before assessment.
Following formal instruction and receipt of the relevant clinical information, an Initial Needs Assessment will be arranged.
-
Once instructed, we complete a comprehensive assessment to establish the client’s rehabilitation needs and priorities.
The assessment includes:
Review of current function, difficulties and rehabilitation needs
Appropriate objective outcome measures to establish a baseline
SMART goals agreed with the client and/or their family, where appropriate
Identification of equipment needs, including recommendations for trial or purchase where indicated
Consideration of how physiotherapy will integrate with the wider rehabilitation plan
Following the assessment, we provide a clear report setting out:
Assessment findings and objective measures
Agreed rehabilitation goals
Recommended treatment plan and frequency of input
Equipment recommendations, with clinical rationale
Projected physiotherapy costs
-
Our rehabilitation programmes are individualised, goal-led and focused on achieving meaningful progress in the client’s everyday life.
As rehabilitation progresses, we:
Deliver treatment within the client’s home and community, focusing on meaningful, functional goals
Regularly review progress against agreed SMART goals and objective outcome measures
Adapt treatment, goals and frequency of input as the client’s needs and abilities change
Develop home programmes and provide training to family members, carers and support workers where appropriate
Complete relevant risk assessments and provide guidance to support safe implementation of rehabilitation strategies
Work closely with the wider MDT to ensure a coordinated approach to rehabilitation
Attend MDT meetings remotely or in person where required
Liaise directly with other treating professionals and arrange joint therapy sessions where this supports the client’s goals
Provide regular progress updates and reports, including recommendations for ongoing or future input
